     EAST RIDING SCALE MODEL ASSOCIATION

      Established since 1991

Text Box: The East Riding Scale Model Association (or ERSMA for short) was founded in 1991 as the Hull and District Scale Model Club, by Richard Alsop and Terry Beale.
Early meetings were held at the now -defunct Museum of Army Transport in Beverley, home of the Northern Model Expo, the catalyst for the club's formation.
We quickly grew to around 20 members and visited several shows, predominantly in North and Midlands England, with monthly meetings originally being held at the Grovehill pub in Beverley .
Several awards were won by members in these halcyon days, then came a waning of enthusiasm and a gradual loss of members.
In 2003 Tony Bolder decided the time had come for a re-vamp of the club's image and with the injection of new members, ERSMA was born.
Colour newsletters were published and the club was re-launched with internal competitions and much more.
We have since changed meeting venue again and look forward to expanding the club nights.
We have always maintained a healthy balance of modelling disciplines and can proudly say that as the only scale model club within a 30 mile radius
We try to cater for all tastes and abilities.
Long may ERSMA continue!
